Design Proposal for Development in Mexico
This proposal involves a beautiful coastal property which is awaiting the fine hand of conscious development in tune with nature. In essence, the stewards of this land wish to create a paradise, where man and nature can co exist and evolve in partnership. The vision is for this place is to integrate natural structures and buildings with the existing topography, flora and fauna; and provide opportunities for more life in all its expressions. The land holding, of about 4.2 hectares, consists of a south facing long rectangular strip, down to the sea. There is a substantial slope along the long access perpendicular to the water front.
The collective vision that emerged to the design team was one of a jungle garden energy, interlaced with seven primary power point locations, reflecting and anchoring the Chakra energy grid of life. Connecting these points will be a matrix of spiral and wave pathways, like the twin snakes of the caduceus pattern. Together, these forms will offer us multiple expressions of natural and man-made beauty.
The seven points will house a Massage and Health Spa, a Sweat Lodge, a Workshop Seminar Space, A Large Green House Structure, Kitchen and Dining Facilities, A Pool and relaxation Space and the primary residence of the developer. There will be 10 small Cabana Living structures, and a number of supporting facilities such as storage, showers, offices and reception spaces.
